Children
Weekly from 9:45-10:30AM
Children are invited to participate in the “Conversation With Children” during the first few minutes of 9:30 worship in the sanctuary. After that, they are invited to the lower level of the church building where classrooms and a Children’s Library have been prepared for them.
Toddlers age 2 and 3 are invited Room LL19 to participate in entry-level Sunday School experiences designed specifically for them. Basics of faith are introduced through play and a variety of creative hands-on activities. Children begin to learn that God created and loves them, that Jesus is their friend, and that their church is a safe and welcoming place.
Preschoolers meet in room LL17 to experience a variety of basic Bible stories throughout the year. Lessons include stories, prayer time, music, fun activities, and a variety of opportunities for busy little bodies to move with the Spirit!
Grades K-1 (Room LL10), Grades 2-3 (Room LL15) and Grades 4-5 (Room LL07). Children will participate in a variety of hands-on learning experiences including Bible stories, art, puppetry, storytelling, food preparation, computer programs, music and role playing. On Sunday, February 26 children will help lead a special intergenerational worship service and share some of what they’ve learned.
Children learn best when their parents participate in their learning. Please consider participating in children’s ministries as an occasional teacher or classroom assistant. Contact Rev. Tina Lang , 608.256.9061.
